LEAF PEEPING
Leaf Peeping season runs from second half of September through the end of October with the peak in the first two weeks of October. The White Mountains are the most popular in New England for mild temperatures, and brilliant hues attracting spectators from all over the world. See for yourself the spectaular fall colors contrasted by classical blue New England skies; experience the wonderful fall days, starting crisp and fresh but rising to 60-70s with warming radiant heat from the sun. Visit covered bridges, rivers and classic eateries. The farmhouse lies just off Route 49; one of the designated leaf peeping roads in the white mountains. Follow this to the remote Tripoli road which cuts through the wilderness, join Route 175 south to Campton and Holderness or North through Woodstock and Lincoln and take the Kancamagus Highway to Conway.
